Post: Improvised Comedy Society, Durham Students' Union, Dunelm House, Durham, DH1 3AN

The Improvised Comedy Society exists to allow students to try their hand at this unique performance art, as well as putting on performances for the rest of the university to come and enjoy. Anyone is welcome to become a member and have a go. It is one of only a very small number of Improv societies at Universities in the UK.
There is a workshop every Saturday afternoon 3-5pm in ER152, open to all members, usually followed by a visit to Kingsgate bar. These sessions are to provide a laid back, fun environment in which to learn improvisation skills and build confidence.
The society was started at the beginning of the academic year 2002/2003. Since then it has grown in size and has put on a variety of shows, culminating in the annual tour of colleges in the post-exam period.
