Description
The Malaysian Society aims to promote and share Malaysian culture and identity, both with Malaysians and non-Malaysians alike. To achieve our aim, we look to organizing Open Houses for major festivals, talks featuring distinguished speakers, and other events. We look forward to contributing to Durham University’s cultural diversity and yeasty atmosphere, and showcasing Malaysian sincerity, hospitality, and friendliness.
Additionally, we hope to raise awareness of opportunities in Malaysia, whether educational, economic, or otherwise. We simultaneously aim to raise Durham University’s profile in Malaysia both to prospective students and employers. We also hope to provide academic and pastoral support to Malaysians in Durham University, and nurture a spirit of unity and camaraderie within our members.
