Description
We are a non-auditioning orchestra and choir at Queens Campus. We provide the opportunity for music enthusiasts to perform a variety of music from Thunderbirds to Mozart in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. The orchestra meets weekly on Mondays 6.15-8.15pm and the Choir meets on Wednesdays 5.15-6.15pm both in the Holliday building at Queens Campus. We aim to perform concerts throughout the year in venues from the Rocket Union to Durham Cathedral or onboard the Endeavour Boat. Membership costs for the orchestra are £5 for the year, or £10 for life. These costs go towards hiring concert venues and buying sheet music. The choir has no membership fee, just turn up and sing.
