Description
The Durham University Classics Society is a student run society for all members of the University. In particular, we aim to provide social support and an atmosphere for lubrication for anyone studying in the Department of Classics and Ancient History. Our main events each year are a ball in December and a play (which may tour) in the summer. We also host guest speakers to address the Society on topics of Classical interest. The Society may also organize field trips to nearby Hadrian's wall, Greece, Rome and purely social venues within Durham. One special feature of the Classics Society is that we provide 'Coffee, Crisis and Cake' seminars for new undergraduates studying in the Department.
