Description
The Archaeology Society organizes archaeological based and themed events for its members, who range from serious PhD students of the subject to those who are simply fans of Indiana Jones. These events include artefact handling sessions at local museums, distinguished guest speakers on hot archaeological topics, regular barcrawls (costume optional) and of course the Annual Ball- in short, a wide range of both social and academic events! If you are a student of archaeology, then Archsoc is a wonderful way for you to make the most of your time here at Durham, as it will give you many opportunities to socialize with your classmates as well as learn as much as possible about your field. If you study something else but wish you’d done archaeology (as most people do), then this is your chance to join in the fun! There’s lots going on at Archsoc- be a part of it!
