Durham Students’ Union Trustees
Durham Students’ Union has been through considerable changes over the last eight months and now the Union is needs your help. DSU is looking for four dedicated and experienced individuals to join the Union’s Trustee Board as co-opted(non-student) trustees as well as four enthusiastic Durham Students to be elected as Student Trustees.
In February nearly three thousand students turned out to vote for changes that will improve their Student Union. A new constitution and a new trustee board were proposed by the Sabbatical Officers and the changes were overwhelmingly supported.
The new Trustee Board is comprised of four co-opted trustees, four sabbatical officers and four student trustees, and is the governing body of the Union; collectively trustees have ultimate responsibility for all the Union’s affairs. Co-opted (non-student) trustees will be recruited for the skills and experience they can bring to the management of the Union.

Elections Timetable for Student Trustee elections:
Nominations open: 23rd May till 5pm on 30th May (nomination forms are availible from DSU reception)
Candidates Meeting: 2.30pm on Monday 2nd May
Husts: Durham 4th June, Queen's Campus 5th June
Voting open: 6th June till 5pm on 12th June 2008
