Purple Radio
What is Purple?
Purple Radio is the student radio station for Durham University. During term time we broadcast 24 hours a day with a range of new, classic and specialist music, together with a variety of speech shows covering topics such as news, politics, student welfare, comedy, film, music and sport. Get Involved!
Purple Radio is a fully functioning radio station; there are many ways you can get involved:
Present your own radio show: daytime entertainment, specialist music or speech show.
Join a dedicated music team, to determine playlisting policy, review CDs and gigs, and interview artists.Be part of our news team and research, write or present a daily news bulletin. Work with the marketing team to promote Purple in Durham and beyond.
Join the IT & Systems team that designs, builds and runs the technology that keeps Purple on air.
