Room Booking

 

Dunelm House plays host to a range of student activity, ranging from smaller committee meetings through to our sell-out gigs and dance nights such as Planet of Sound. You can book any of our rooms to stage your own events; just about anything you like can be arranged so long as you stay within our licence and terms and conditions. We have dedicated catering, technical and other staff and a wide range of equipment that can all be at your disposal. Our intention is to help you as much as we can to have a successful meeting, conference or event.

 

Our larger venues are:

 

The Fonteyn Ballroom

 

The biggest single room in Durham, with a capacity of 700.

 

The Riverside Cafe

 

With a capacity of 150, a fully operation Kitchen and Cafe, Riverside is perfect for events that require catering. Plus, you can enjoy one of the best views of Durham Cathedral on our balcony.

 

The Vane Tempest

 

With a capacity of 100, and floor to ceiling windows overlooking the river and Cathedral, Vane Tempest makes smaller events go with a bang.

 

The Kingsgate

 

Out of term time, our main bar is available for hire, with a capacity of 300 and its own Pizza Bar, it makes a terrific venue.

These venues all have bars, a stage and sound and lighting equipment.

 

We have competitive rates (discounted for students), and our staff are ready to discuss everything you need to make things work well for you in Dunelm.
