Welcome to DSU Bars
Durham Students' Union has four Different bars spanning over four different floors on the building. The main bar Kingsgate bars can be found on Level B and is open from 1pm till late Monday to Saturday with different opening times on Sunday. The other bars are used during events and functions in the different rooms of the venue.
Kingsgate Bar
Kingsgate is the main Union bar. It's at the back of Level B past Reception - it has a good selection of lagers and beers on draught and a wide range of bottles and spirits.
Kingsgate's location in Dunelm makes it a great place to meet up after lectures or possibly the best place in Durham to meet people when going out in the evening. You don't get a much more central spot for the price.
There's outside seating on the balcony and this is also the designated smoking area. It has a lovely view of the world famous Durham Cathedral, the Kingsgate bridge and the river Weir. In the summer when the weather's nice we have a barbecue out on the balcony with a wide range food and snacks.

Monday - Thursday: 1pm - 12am
Friday - Saturday: 1pm - 2am
Sunday: 7pm - 11pm
Sunday Nights
Kingsgate is now open on Sunday nights 7pm to 11pm with some amazing offers for a relaxing night. We have free pool so you can come down and play as much as you like. Also we have an amazing offer of a bottle of lager and a hot dog for £3.50. This offer is only on selected bottles of lager and is available all night.
