The Durham University Jewish Society is definitely a growing Jewish Society in the UK. Although it is smaller than some of the J-Socs in bigger cities, there is always a nice, homely atmosphere at our events.

Since November 2007, we also have a kosher kitchen at St. Aidan’s college, where our Friday night meals are held approximately every second weekend. Many of these meals are cooked by the catering manager of the college, but there are also events at members’ houses. On top of the dinners, we have other social events such as nights out in Durham, movie nights and we also work closely with other J-Socs in the area, such as Newcastle and Northumbria University.
